Paranoid by Kanye West

I love Kanye West – as I’m sure most of you know – and I know the he tries to push the boundaries and the envelope when it comes to his music, and most recently, his music videos. I quite enjoyed the videos for Love Lockdown and Amazing‘ in particular. But his newest video, for Paranoid, has me puzzled.

I was contemplating whether or not I should even post this up, as I feel it’s a little bit out of place from the sites usual flow of material, but I wanted to get ya’lls input on what you think of the video. What message do you think he’s trying send, how does the flow of the video go with the lyrics, etc. Personally, I find the fact that Rihanna - post-Chris Brown attack – being in the majority of this video, in combination with the songs lyrics, to be a little ironic and in fact, rather eerie. Was this done or purpose or what? You guys let me know what you think.

UPDATE: It turns out that this isn’t the official video for paranoid. Kanye himself wrote that this video is ‘very old and very wrong‘. He included some preview shots of the actual music video here. I think the unreleased one looks far more promising and far more Kanye-like than the one that was leaked.
