Maxwell Lord’s Handwritten Typography

Maxwell Lord is a young Russian artist, whose true talent lays in his handwritten, traditional work. With the use of various ink and gel pens, Lord’s work never fails to create a digital-like image. But don’t let that fool you, as these detailed wonders are all done by hand, using numerous shading and coloring techniques…

Maxwell’s typography is an entanglement of detail and intricacy. His pieces are generally filled with ornamental marvel and majestically formulated lines. He carries a rare, yet impressive and extraordinary talent, which unfortunately, is hard to come by in this day and age of computers and design software. Fortunately for the art and design community, there are still people in the world, just like Maxwell, who continue to practice and pursue their inspirational trades.

Maxwell – whose available for both freelance and full-time work – began to draw as a kid, as he picked up basic drawing skills and techniques from his father. Now, in his early twenties, Maxwell’s work has clearly flourished into an unmatchable craft that will surely stay with him for the rest of his life.

Be sure to check out the rest of his work, here.

  1. That’s some amazing stuff! Very relevant to a school project that I have going on right now too :)

  2. I Completely understand what your stance in this matter is. However I would disagree on some of the finer details, I think you did an astounding job outlining it. Definitely beats the need to research it by myself. Many thanks.
