Montreal Designer, Julien Vallée
Julien Vallée, a Montreal based designer who works with cardboard and paper to make wonderfully detailed 3D sculptures and displays…

Creation of an image for a pitch in collaboration with Dixon-Baxi for MTV-One in England.
Photographer Simon Duhamel, special thanks to Eve Duhamel.

Exhibition piece for the main exhibition, created for the second edition of Illustrative festival.

This image was created in response to a brief set by Manystuff, an online visual communications blog and fanzine, questioning the relative roles of the computer and hand-made processes in design. Our aim was to create something that was hand-made but also had a clean, almost digital aesthetic. Making the computer to a realistic scale and using real items as well as fabricated objects helped to achieve this look. The computer screen unfolding from the computer and becoming real also reflects the translation from the Manystuff website into print.
