By layering an assortment of colored paper-bits, collage artist Virginia Echeverria creates an abstract sense of reality through the duality created by both the real, physical photographs and the fabricated pieces of scrap. Together, these aspects add an incremental amount of depth, intrigue and mystery, while still retaining a certain level of elegance.
