I threw this video together last month for a class of mine. The concept was simple: examine and focus on the details of a select handful of friends, showcasing and highlighting the subtle nuances in the outfits they were wearing that day. With the help of Vincent, Samia, Taline, Ernest, Gabrielle and Charles, I was able to piece this together into somewhat of a cohesive video. Hopefully my lack of planning and poor direction doesn’t show too strongly in this.
Admittedly, this was quite fun for work on. Maybe I’ll do more in the future.
Brooklyn’s own Gramatik came through Montreal last night to grace a sold-out Belmont to an hour and a half of electronic-fused hip-hop beats and glitch-heavy melodies. I decided to lug my camera around and share the stage with the other 6-or-so photographers to capture a few of the moments.

New Pusha T freestyle over Common’s Sweet, likely to be on his forthcoming Long Live The Caine mixtape. Directed by Samuel Rogers.
Sometime last month, before the snow started hitting the ground, I began a search for a rugged, ankle-length boot that would facilitate the transition between early fall and the beginnings of Montreal’s snow-covered winter. As is usually the case, Red Wings seemed to have the answer to all my problems and it wasn’t long before I was pretty much set on the Wabasha boot, part of their Heritage collection. Cash in-hand, I headed to local upperground boutique Off The Hook and swiftly walked out with a pair of #9185 in size 11.5 (sized down a half from my usual size).
The boot is a 6″ (though the #9184 offers a slightly lower cut) and features leather tanned at their own S.B Foot Tanning Company in Minnesota, a Vibram mini-slug sole, olive-brown waxed canvas hugging each side, quality two-tone raw-hide laces and like all their boots, are triple hand-stitched in the US using waxed thread.

Welcome to the new DOUBLEYOUWHY, a place that’ll most likely end up being a reservoir of photos documenting anything from trips taken, in-progress glimpses at personal projects, showcasing and detailing menswear accoutrements—essentially bringing a camera and shooting anything I find interesting or may be of interest to others. It’ll moreover be a place to simply share inspiration and discuss all-things design, menswear, food and whatever else may arise.
I’m excited to finally get this project up and running and look forward to finally having a proper place to once-again share content!
